He also instills a mindset that it takes a great deal of work to make a dream become a reality. Through hard work and perseverance you can make incredible things happen.
Through his lyrics he describes a great deal of his emotional and mental thought processes. To the listener, it appears that he is utilizing music as his therapy. In some of his other lyrics he describes how badly he has focused on understanding who he is, and what drives his life and decision making. Many of the listeners to his music are drawn into how contemplative and introspective he is. Everyone has issue and problems they have to deal with, and the fact that he is so open and vocal with them is very attractive to the listener. It is interesting how many people put up a façade to hide their pain and frustration, through stoic images and depressing emotions. Cudi takes the opposite approach, which makes him real, human, and relatable. Many of the listeners feel connected to him in his desire to be fully open and honest. Cudi feels that it is important to be true to your words, given that our culture is one of superficiality and fleetingness, which causes more pain and harm than good.
A great deal of the messages Cudi sings about are related to having strong mental health, including believing in yourself, being contemplative, and introspective

He spends a great deal of his time rapping about the work it takes to be successful, in addition to partying, discussing the women he meets, and how important it is to stay positive and to believe in oneself.
Many people need to hear his thoughts about relationships. He discusses if someone wishes to leave in your life, he will open the door for that person. Too often do we attempt to keep people in our life who have no place in it, and it is the mature thing to completely welcome it and be content with someone leaving who doesn’t understand who you are. On the contrary, is important to nurture relationships in which people believe in you and support you. Furthermore he states that people treat you the way you let them. If you have low standards for yourself, then people will treat you in this manner.
A great deal of life relates to patience. Wiz Khalifa states that good thing comes in good time. This means that in time, things will work out, but if we are so caught up in making them happen now, we won’t have the patience or endurance. Furthermore, a great Buddhist philosophy is embedded in his message, which states do not let the sadness of the past, or fear of the future, ruin the happiness of the present moment. It takes practice and discipline to enjoy the present moment, but it is all that we really have.
Having the discipline and good work ethic and career and relationships is very important and to having strong mental health.
